Betty Ann was born September 6, 1962 in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of John C. and Mary Williams of Santee, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on December 17, 2014 after an extended illness in
Columbia, South Carolina.

Betty Ann was educated in the public schools of Bridgeport, CT. Then she joined the National Guard and served for 21 years. She was employed by Mary Wade Homes of New Haven, CT.

She was preceded in death by her brother Phillip Lee Williams.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her parents, Mary and
John C. Williams of Santee, SC; one son, Desmond (Shanike) Lanham of
Alamogordo, New Mexico; two grandsons, Orlando Lamir and Onnen
Jarel Lanham of Alamogordo, New Mexico; Fiancé Woodrow Hemingway
of New Haven, CT; a devoted sister, Mrs. Thelma (Leroy) Holiday
of Columbia, South Carolina; three brothers: Harry (Eloise) Prezzie of
Elloree, South Carolina; John A. Williams of Fort Mill, South Carolina
and Jermaine Williams of Creedmoor, North Carolina; a very special aunt Mrs. Lizzie (Willie) Collier, a special uncle Hampton (Jeanette) Williams, a devoted friend Susan Mercer of West Haven, CT., two nieces, six nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Williams will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Santee with Rev. S. T. Nelson Pastor officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 11:00 AM. The interment will be private.

Visitation at Williams Funeral Home of Elloree will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday December 26, 2014.
