Mr. Clifton Mitchell, 83, of 928 Williams Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY.

Clifton Edward Mitchell was born, January 8, 1935 in Elloree, SC to the late Herbert and Lillian Vice Mitchell.  Clifton was a graduate of Elloree Training School.  He worked at Bayside Townhouse Condominium for over 40 years until his retirement.  He also had a landscaping business for over 20 years.  Mitch/Uncle Mack/Uncle Cliff was good with his hands and had a creative mind.  Family and Friends would call and he would be there to paint, build, landscape and provide financial assistance to everyone.  He had a BIG HEART!

Clifton passed away on February 8, 2018 at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center after an illness.  Clifton leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Mitchell, his children, Loumish Martin, Andre' Shuler (Teresa), Lamont Jones, Lisa Hylick (Michael), Gary Mitchell, David Mitchell, Jason Mitchell (Shavon), Tyrell Mitchell, Sherell Mitchell, Whitney Mitchell, Sister-in-law, Dorothy M. Mitchell of Myrtle Beach, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Clifton also leaves behind 25 beloved grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren:  Sheree Martin, Stephanie Teltsort, Susan Shuler, Shaklya Jones, Clifford Jones, Davania Mitchell, David Mitchell, Diyesha Mitchell, Devante Foreman, Dandre Mitchell, Daisha Mitchell,  Danea Mitchell, Dauris Foreman, Chase Mitchell, Danessa Mitchell, J'son Mitchell, Jada Mitchell, Aniyah Mitchell, Janiyah Mitchell, Jai'la Mitchell, Jayani Mitchell, Jaxson Mitchell, Jayelle Mitchell, Tyra Mitchell, Sannaa Mitchell, Hudson Teltsort, Oso Teltsort, Andre' Dunigan, Khalil Rakim, Jymire Mitchell, Esmay Mitchell, and D'Andre Jr. Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his brothers:  Robert, Enoch, Nathaniel, Lester, Quincy, Arthur and his sister Idora ("Sister").

Funeral services for Mr. Mitchell will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 23, 2018, in the Williams Funeral Home Chapel, 2857 Cleveland Street, Elloree.  Viewing is scheduled on Friday from 11 AM until the hour of the service.  Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Lone Star.
