Obituary

Mrs. Connie Mae Prezzie, 80, of Orangeburg, passed away at the Regional Medical Center on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

Family and friends are heartbroken by the passing of Connie Mae Prezzie. Connie gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Connie was born on March 16, 1941, to the late James Wesley and Bernice Fogle in Santee, South Carolina.

Connie gave her life to God at a young age and was Baptized at Providence Baptist Church of Santee SC. On July 13, 1959, Connie married her sweetheart Mr. Bonnie (Edward) Prezzie who she then followed up North to Norwalk, CT. She immediately found a new church home, Mount Zion Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a member of the Senior Choir and the Missionary Board for many years.

In 2003, Connie and her husband retired and moved back home to South Carolina.  She joined Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and got to work on her mission.  Became the President of the Missionary Board, a member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Society President and a participant of the Orangeburg Calhoun Missionary Baptist Association Missionary Society and the loving Mother of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Connie always had a smile to share with you. She loved her family, and was always there if you needed an ear or an almighty prayer to bring light to darkness. She was the definition of sugar and spice, that you always knew you needed.

Connie was predeceased by her son James Edward Prezzie, her brother James Fogle, sisters Bernice Bookhardt, Flossie Williams, Rose Sellers, Learline Fogle, Janie Mae Gadson, Mary Albritian and five brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.

Connie is survived by her husband Edward (Bonnie) Prezzie, sons Edward Jr.  Prezzie (Gwen), Bryant Prezzie, daughters Dorothy Keels and Angela Prezzie, many Grandkids, several great-grands, a ton of nieces and nephews, a few Godchildren.
