Obituary

Freddie Lee Hill also known as "Booster" transitioned to be with the Lord on December 15, 2022, at his home in Alpharetta, GA.  Freddie Lee Hill was born August 3, 1930, in Elloree, South Carolina to Mr. and Mrs. Eddie (Elease) Hill who proceeded him in death.

Freddie Lee Hill was educated in the public schools of Elloree, SC and lived in the Santee, SC community.  Freddie Lee Hill was a strong young man who learned so many skills from his parents that included barbering, farming, fishing, hunting, cooking, and providing for his family.  Freddie Lee Hill received Christ at an early age, and he was Baptized at Friendship A.M.E Church.  One day at the junction of Oak Grove Church yard he met, dated, and married the love of his life Mrs. Fannie Mae Void Hill on March 3, 1952.  Yes, God blessed this union for 70 years!  Later, the family migrated to South Norwalk, Connecticut to take advantage of employment opportunities that yielded provisions for his family.

Freddie Lee Hill was a STRONG PROVIDER for his family mentally, spiritually, morally, and financially.  Freddie Lee Hill had a STRONG WORK ETHIC and he proved to his children the scripture that coincides with 2 Thessalonians 3:10 ("For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: If a man will not work, he shall not eat …….").  Freddie Lee Hill provided the best for his family in all areas of life.  Spiritually, Freddie Lee Hill was Baptized again at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut where he was a very active Deacon under the Pastorals of Rev. Sharon Dudley.  Morally, Freddie Lee Hill was a good man who didn't allow his family to hear him call out from work just to take a day off without a reason.  Financially, he took on the responsibilities of his household.  Birthdays and Christmas were filled with laughter, best food, and financial blessings.  Freddie Lee Hill worked and retired from the Connecticut Post and Teamsters local 443 where he enjoyed the occupation of a Truck Driver for over 30 years.

Freddie Lee Hill was special to his wife in so many ways.  Often, he was seen cleaning the snow, warming the car, and providing fresh muffins for his wife during the winter months.  Christmas was very special where Freddie Lee Hill would line his children up from the oldest to the youngest while providing each of them with monies to enjoy Christmas.  The Christmas tree was loaded with gifts year after year.  A man who took care of 100% of his household and didn't let his kids want for anything!  Praise the Lord!

Freddie Lee Hill is survived four sisters, Mrs. Azalea Sellers, Mrs. Ernestine Shivers, Mrs. Susie Mae Davis, and Mrs. Rachael Gary, all of Santee, SC.  He is also survived by eight children:  Mrs. Jacqueline Elsenussi, Ms. Jillian Hill, Mr. Gillian Hill, Mr. Frederick D. Hill (Alicia), and Mrs. Karen D. (Archbishop Frederick) Nah, all of Georgia.   Ms. Cherlene Hill, Santee, SC.  Mrs. Cheryl (Co – Pastor Robert) Fitzgerald, Mr. Gilbert Hill, all of Connecticut.

Nine Grandchildren: Mr. Kevin (Joy) Hill, Mrs. Bianca Henry, Mr. Conrad (Mary Kay) Hill, Mr. Wesley Caple, Mr. Ian Sanford, Ms. Erica Fitzgerald, Mr. Frederick Nah, Mr. Anthony Nah, and Ms. Faith Nah. Twelve great grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.
