Mr. Ronald J. Piatt, 78, of Peach Street, Livingston, passed away at the Regional Medical Center on May 18, 2022.

Graveside Services for Mr. Piatt will be held at 11 AM, Friday May 20th, in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Orangeburg; with viewing from 10 to 11 AM.

Ronald Piatt was born in Dumont, NJ on November 27, 1943, to the late Silvia (née Manes) Washburn.  He was raised by his maternal grandmother, Josephine (née Bump) Manes. He grew up in Waverly, New York where he dispatched part-time for the Waverly Police Department and volunteered for the fire department.

While in Waverly, Ronald attended the Christian Life Church and taught Children's Church and was also involved with visitation of the sick and elderly.

After retirement, Ronald and his late wife Betty moved to Santee, SC, and attended the Lake Marion Christian Fellowship.

He later moved to Livingston, SC and attended the Homeward Bound Ministries in Norway, SC.

Ronald enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a stepdaughter, Jennifer Olmedo of Corning, NY and a stepson, Mark Sickler of Florida; two grandchildren, Lidia and Jasmine Olmedo; and a Special Friend, Virginia Ann Gartman.
